Spain 2015: Jaguar XF launch

I’m just back from the international press launch of the all-new Jaguar XF in the Navarra region of northern Spain. I thought I’d share a few pictures with you to whet your appetite…

We landed at Pamplona airport where a fleet of XFs was waiting for us. A leap of Jaguars?

Then it was off into the mountains and twisty roads of Spain’s Navarra region…

We stopped off at the Circuito de Navarra for some high speed testing. Only opened in 2010, it’s F1 accredited as a test track – and tricky…

We arrived at our hotel in Pamplona to find a Jaguar XF outside under a special canopy  – a big cat in the shade?

Jaguar design supremo Ian Callum was on hand to give us an exclusive tour of his latest creation. Not many designers have the opportunity to have another bite of the cherry (remember, Callum also created the award-winning original XF, launched in 2007).

Terminator: the new aluminium-intensive Jaguar XF laid bare…

The extensive use of aluminium  enables weight savings of up to 12% compared with its predecessor. Jaguar claims it’s “80kg lighter than the competition – the lightest car in its class”.

Quick stop-off in the mountains close to the French border. It could almost be an Alpine scene…
